Grouse Mountain as seen from Mount Fromme

Mount Fromme Hiking

Distance: 11 km

Elevation Gain: 852 m

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

Trailhead for this trail starts at the top of St. Georges Ave in North Vancouver. You can park on both sides of the avenue just before the cul-de-sac. It is highly recommended to bring an offline trail map for this trail. There are too many side trails, junctions, and bike trails in the area. Trail markers may be covered by dense vegetation. The trail is also crossed—not once, but twice—by two wide service roads. All of the above can make route-finding a bit challenging.

There are no technical sections along the trail. It is a steady ascent the entire way. You are in the forest the whole time, right up until the peak. The view at the top is typical of what you get on North Shore peaks: Baker, Seymour, Grouse, the Lions, etc. I personally think this trail has a low reward-to-effort ratio.
